Hands on fun to be had by all. Travelled with engineering minded husband who was happy to spend 3 hours poking and playing with exhibits, designed to engage you. Of particular interest the heavy engineering machines. There were limited school groups and its a massive museum so large groups were not a distraction and the museum was fairly quiet. Great... ...mainly because I love looking at transport technology. The Mercedes Silver Arrow looks stunning and was worth the visit alone for someone into historical motor racing events. Lots of other things to keep your interest: aircraft, trains, motorbikes, etc. Plenty of interactive bits too and when we went there appeared to be lots of school outings looking around with very... All of the three stories are incredibly interesting. You can spend there more than 4 hours and still you wold not have seen everything. There are so many exhibits to be seen. Many of them are interactive, so you can see how it works and so on.

If you like the mechanisms and their construction will satisfy you. It is something different from the usual museums and has to do exclusively with technology from the past until today

Interesting museum with reasonable entrance prices (kids free). Great for those who adore old trains and different machines. The museum shop is full of super equipments, toys and useful books. A nice park is situated close to the museum, no parking problems.

I visited this museum by chance, but we loved it. A great exposition about technology in the last 200 years. Mining, energy, flight and travel were many of the topics highlighted. Our kids 6 and 12 also both loved it. We spent 3 hours in the museum and were not done yet viewing everything on display. All texts were available... More

Title says it all. As far as tech museums goes, this isnt one of the finest I've been in. I don't think someone above 8 years old will have fun there.

This museum offers a wide variety of technology displays...some of which are interactive. Particularly liked the section on musical instruments, trains, and power generation. Be prepared to walk a lot to see the entire museum. Fortunately, there are many place to sit and rest. Also, the gift shop has some unusual items.
