With the very edge of the mountains as starting point, visitors have every opportunity to experience cross-country skiing at its best. The network of trails connects to the Lillehammer, Hafjell and Sjusjoen networks, and over 2,500 km of trails are available in total. The mountain plateaus, offering cross-country ski trails through open and gentle terrain, are within easy reach. If the weather turns bad, the forests close by provide excellent shelter from the wind. Nordseter offers excellent ski and equipment hire facilities.

I came here with my husband and learnt how to ski X Country, it's good for beginners like me as there is plenty of flat and up and downhill... depending on how brave you are and if you can master the snow plough on such narrow ski's! The skiing here was a wonderful experience. We skied up to Pellastova and had a small lunch as the prices very very expensive. A bowl of soup was 125NK or $20CDN, but very tasty. All the trails were in excellent shape.

We have been here before, 4 years ago, and it was one of the places the kids really wanted to return to. Great friendly people and excellent routes around the local hills and woods. We did some geocaching while we were here. Get out and get some fresh air! :)

well groomed tracks, easy terrain and beautiful nature. the tracks were groomed both for classic and skating, and if you are lucky (we were) you can meet some of the famous skiers in training camps.

Great skiing. trails well prepared even for the last weekend of the season. Beatiful sunny days nice crusty powdery snow in the wonderful countryside in Lillehammer. Nice cafe at the start of the trails. Trails well groomed and many different ones. Can get there by bus too.
