We rented a car from Honningsvag for the trip to the North Cape since we could not locate a tour that had a wheel chair lift for my wife. Turns out, it probably was cheaper to do it this way and gave us more time...More

We arrived on a sunny beautiful day. The view is spectacular. The movie shown in the cinema was wonderful. Be aware.. the pricelevel on food and drinks are high. A bottle of water cost 49 NOK.

Reluctantly went on a shore excursion from a Viking Cruise. Even though the weather was rough (gale force winds and driving rain in July), it was worth it. An interesting spot with an excellent video presentation. Even saw some reindeer on the way to/from the...More

12:00am in the sunlight was a great experience BUT we were lucky it was a clear calm warm night. Lots of campervans tents and tour buses but plenty of room for every one. Take a picnic and champagne to celebrate midnight at the top of...More

The North Cape tour from the cruise ship was fully booked up, so once docked we went to the tourist information office and they had a tour going at various times in the day. So we booked a tour, they had already discounted the price...More

I did the inside passage to Alaska a couple of years ago and loved it but this was better. More variety in scenery, especially. As others have described the gorgeous cruise so well I will concentrate on those things that I would like to have...More

went to North Cape from Honningsvaag, a very interesting ride with a stop at a " Sami camp". Unfortunately, when we reached North Cape it was shrouded in clouds and we could not see any further than a few hundred feet. We could not see...More

Mihail S
Hello! My girlfriend and I are planning to make a roadtrip up to North Cape in february 2019. We are Romanians living on Aland Islands, Finland. Our trip sounds like that: we get to Grisslehamn, Sweden, by the ferry, we drive up to the Finnish border, then up to the Norwegian border and North Cape. We have already booked accommodation, a night in Umea, Sweden, 2 nights in Rovaniemi, Finland and 2 nights in Honningsvag, Norway. On the return way we haven't planned anything yet. Our car is a 2004 Mercedes E-Class 3.2 petrol RWD, equipped with new studded winter tyres (during the winter), auxiliary heating system and offline navi system. We will also take with us a shovel, snow chains, towing rope, car battery charger, 12v compressor for tyres, blankets, food, warm drinks and many other things. I must say I'm a quite experienced driver in winter conditions, bad weather, bad roads and night driving. I've successfully completed a lot of ambitious roadtrips. But this one is going to be the heaviest. What do you think? Is it a good or bad idea? And what would you advise?
