Highly recommend doing the minibus with chasing lights tour ! Andrea was our guide and she was fabulous ! Super informative, energetic , and most of all fun !!! We got to see a beautiful display of the Northern lights ! This was by far one of the best experiences of my life ! Can’t thank you and your team enough !!
P.s the snow suits were super cozy especially for us Florida girls !!!

On a northern lights cruise from UK, we booked in advance, prefering independent tours, than the ships tours & prices. It could not have gone any better, Weather conditions were ideal, "Chasing Lights " then went the extra "mile " making it a memorable event, Our driver Partryk' (awesome) collected us from the ship ahead of the main rendezvous, at all times, constantly attentive to all and any needs, and Jefta our tour guide was a joy, a wonderful persona ,engaging everyone on the Mini bus and keeping us informed, We got the lights ! (more than we expected/hoped ) i must say ..we did see the lights from the ship on occasion ! But it didn't compare to being out in the snow covered, silent moon lit mountains, with skilled guides and assitance with camera techinques, Hot chocolate, a simple hot meal ,a little fire pit and the dark star filled skies! WOW!

This was a wonderful experience! We saw the Northern lights thanks to professional guides, the weather was quite cloudy in Tromsø that day and app's prediction was quite pessimistic. We travelled around 50 minutes to the very picturesque spot, and after some time the Northern lights appeared. Even though I've seen it before this time was by far the most impressive, almost no light pollution, strong and quite long aurora. I'm very grateful for professional photos provided by the guides and also a big bus was a good choice: it was warm and comfortable. I recommend this tour, thanks again <3

I really recommend this company, we drived around different spot all night long to find the better spot. We had a great time with the two guides, they explained everything about the Northern Light and they offered us hot drinks and cookies, and they did a fire to warm us up. We were able to see the Northern lights that night and it was just wonderful, they took amazing pictures of us. I am really happy about this experience, thanks to you

ガイドのNelsonさんは優しく、献身的で感激しました。鱈のトマトシチューはとっても美味しかったです。オーロラの下の焚き火も素晴らしい体験でした！！

While I was very well aware of that seeing the lights was not guaranteed in all circumstances, I was hoping at least that the agency will make some minimum effort to look for some nice moments for us, who most likely will only came here for once.
We went out on a night with perfect sky condition and were brought to a place that’s 1 hour away in the south, then were told by the guide that we’ve found the perfect spot and all we needed was to be patient, it didn’t make sense to look for any other places since the sky there was too good. So instead of “chasing for lights”, it was rather: just found us a clear sky and wished us all the best for the rest…….that appeared to be nothing when there was no cloud every where anyways.
Finally, we ended standing under that fabulous sky at -13 degrees for almost 7 hours, and "saw" some kinda aurora that can only be noticed by the camera after all…….!!!
I was not disappointed by the fact that I saw nothing, but there was 0 effort made from the agency to at least try to make our night and money any more valuable.

My now fiancé and I went out on four chases from November 16-19 and had a wonderful experience. I’d definitely recommend going for a few nights if possible to help increase your odds of getting a good show. Huge thanks to Jonas, Andrea, Jefta and Joe for being phenomenal guides and capturing some great photos for us. My second time visiting Tromso and going with Chasing Lights. Already looking forward to another visit! Great experience and highly recommend!

went on Tuesday 05/12/23 and had an exceptional experience!!
Adrian was our driver and the 2hrs drives (both there and back) went so smoothly
Jonas, Meda, and Outi were our guides and they were really the best. we had such fun driving the snowmobile but it was also so safe because of the guides. moreover, they were really informative and brought us to the nothernmost 3-country border in the world. on top of that, they brought cameras and took such beautiful photos and edited them as well
the service throughout is just absolutely fantastic, from the registration to the activity itself and even the follow-up. one simple example of this is that the guides skipped their lunch so that they could interact with all the customers and helped with the distribution of lunch and even throwing away the trash, and only had their own lunches when they returned to the bus for the 2hr ride back to tromso
absolutely loved this experience and would give it a full 5-star review!!

In late March your chances will be somewhat lower than during the rest of the season because the nights will become shorter as we approach spring. However, we still see the Northern Lights on most of our chases even in early April.

On our Big Bus Chase we have an on-board restroom.
On the Minibus Chase we make a stop or two at gas stations, if there are any on the way. Otherwise we use nature. :)

Hi there, if your focus is seeing the Northern Lights I recommend visiting between mid September and late March. During this period the sky is dark enough at night to see the Aurora. I also recommend avoiding full moon nights. It's best to plan 4-5 nights in Tromsø for the best chances. Send us an email or live chat message if you have more questions and we'll be happy to help!

Hi Natalia, in terms of chances of seeing the Northern Lights all months between September and March are similar. If you want to experience snow I would recommend visiting from December. From December to January Tromsø experiences the polar night, many visitors want to experience that. You can book your tours with us directly on our website.
