Great architecture which looks its best from out in the harbour. A must-do is to go for a walk on the roof on a sunny day.

The building has a slight look of our Opera House in Sydney. The inside is amazing with all the wood, which you would expect in Scandinavia. Being built right on the water gives it a great feeling.

Definetly place to visit. You haven’t see anything like this before. It’s very beautiful, very modern. We didn’t go in, but walked around it. The views are also a big plus.

Nice view from the opera and good atmosphere even though the whole city is under construction but definitely worth walking to the top

This building is ultra modern and a must see! It was opened in 2008 and is a major landmark! The white marble exterior slopes into the fjord and we climbed to the top affording fantastic views of Oslo and the waterfront. A lot of building...More

The opera building is a unique and beautiful building. Although a bit crowded with other buildings, it is still wonderful to see. Their performances were all sold out when we were there.

Although we didn’t go inside the building, we explored the outside. You can literally walk all over this building from the fiord, to the side of the building to the roof space. This is all free and a very popular destination for tourists. There’s lots...More

I have to admit that I never have been to a Opera but a couple of concerts in this fantastic Opera building in Oslo. Everything is great but very long queues to all bar and restaurant area.

Cool! Everything in Norway is shared and open, Opera not being the exception. You can walk to the top and appreciate a very awesome view. Building modern as well. Recommend it.

Yes, no entry fees, to look around in the foyer, cafe or restaurant (and roof of course). Had lunch at the restaurant, good food.

Yes you are able to enter the building but just some areas. Like the entrance hall the coffee next to it and some corridores

No it is free, the building is built in such a way that you can access the roof from the outside! It is broad, and safe, but in the winter it does get a bit slippery! Enjoy the view. Helen
