The center of Oslo is a hub of cultural and artistic activity. Not only the national theater, music festivals, monuments/statues of great artist, but the park area offers a peaceful atmosphere to relax and enjoy what is happening in the city. Locals and tourists seem...More

This whole area has great architecture. Beautiful building, enjoyed the steps and columns. Part of walking tour that I would recommend. On it's own it's an okay site, but as part of downtown Oslo it is worth seeing.

It is a traditional building, with classic lines and a lot of charm. It seems that a renewal is necessary and would improve some parts of it. Even so, we attended a concert and it was very nice.

This gorgeous building is set in the middle of pedestrian Karl Johans gate, surrounded by greenery and a lovely café. There are sculptures of the main playwrights of Norway fronting the theater. Do stop here as you stroll the city center.

A striking building With a long history. Very friendly staff. Only way to see the interior is to watch a performance. As advised by the team, I visited 30 min before a performance and got a 50% discount on a already cheap ticket. But worth...More

While walking around town we pass by this beautiful theatre. I like this architecture. Very classic in a way. We did not go inside for a show, but maybe next time just to see the inside decor of the building.

Walk far enough down Karl Johans Gate in the direction of the Royal Palace, and this rather striking building will appear behind a row of trees on your left. Completed just before the turn of the last century, I didn't have an opportunity to get...More

go visit it just for the architecture. It was a beautiful building, with plenty of history. The inside was also beautiful. They've kept it up nicely and were even currently doing some work on it.

One of the places you will see/encounter when you roam around the Oslo downtown. Like all the other old buildings in Europe, this is also well maintained. This is near the Royal Palace. We visited during winter so the fountain wasn't working, however, across the...More

The theater sits in a park along Karl Johan Gate, just in front of the Royal Palace. The architecture is interesting, and makes for some nice photos, especially with the park as a background. We ventured inside the lobby, which provided a brief glimpse at...More
