This used to be a lovely, quiet museum for modern art. It's closed as of January 2016; however, parts of the collection will be exhibited in project spaces in the Bjørvika area (close to the central train station and the Opera) until the opening of the new Munch Museum, which will incorporate the Stenersen collection.

This was on the Oslo Pass and was interesting in parts. Art is subjective and not all people like the same art type. There is a couple of floors with different paintings so you should find something you like. You wont be in here for long but I think you will enjoy it.

The Weidemann exhibition is very exciting and well worth seeing. The exhibition presents works from the artist's early period, very interesting, I think. The opening hours are Tuesday - Sunday 11 am-4pm, Thursday 11am-6pm, Monday closed. The Weidemann exhibition will last until the 13th of December 2016. Look for more reviews by MulleEllum

I liked this spacious gallery and how the artwork was displayed. There is a large permanent collection of contemporary art on one floor and we also saw two temporary exhibitions.

Forget the surroundings and enjoy the collection. Not spectacular, but some really nice stuff in there. And I like the fact that it was one man collecting all this stuff.

It's a quite small museum of modern art. They change exhibitions relatively often. Admission is free and it's worth a visit if it sounds interesting to you..
