Beautiful chapel and free to visit. This chapel is in one of Oslo's most posh areas and worth a visit. I would highly recommend.

As we happened to be visiting the famous ski-jump on a Sunday, we first went over to see the nearby Holmenkollen Church. The building is of an all-wooden construction, built originally in 1903. After an arsonist set fire to it in1992, it was completely rebuilt...More

We were walking the area, after going to the ski museum and we saw this church and we just liked to see how different parts of the world build their churches. We walked in and if you can imagine a mountain cabin, that's what the...More

Such a beautiful chapel with carvings inspired from the Viking culture. Nicely rebuilt in 1996 after it was burned down by black metal legends in 1992. If you are into black metal music, this is a must see!

We attended a wedding at the church and it was stunning from first impression. You see the church atop the hill as you drive up the entrance. Inside the high ceilings and natural light make the room look heavenly.

This chappel is a copy from 1996 of the original build in 1903. The original was set on fire and burned down by arson in1992.

Not mentioned yet so i'll do it. This chapel is a rebuild of the original which was famously burned down by black metal musicians in a spate of arson attacks in the 90s. Being a fan of heavy metal and Scandinavian black metal in particular...More

Sigh! It's always problematic to be a reviewer at the extreme and, as of today, my review is the lowest this place has gotten. I truly hope nobody goes for a Poor since this is a pretty little chapel, and I have to give credit...More

Placed on a small hill just next to the large jumping tower it just blends in with the nature. Heading inside you probably get the feeling of stepping into a big cabin, something I found to be very refreshing actually. The interior provided a calm...More
