I did this trip from Bergen to Oslo. Although quite a long journey, if you catch the early morning train you can look out of the windows and admire the mountains, fjords, waterfalls and rivers as you travel to Oslo. Alternatively you can chat to...More

We took the train from Oslo to Bergen. (The next day we took the "Norway in a Nutshell" tour from Bergen back to Oslo.) There is some excellent scenery to be seen from the train. The ride is smooth and quiet. Unfortunately, the WiFi doesn't...More

We booked NIN from Bergen to Oslo. We decided to stay in FLam overnight because of the limited daylight. We left Bergen on the 8:43 train. We arrived into Voss around 10 a.m. and from there took the 50 minute bus ride to the Fjord...More

A fabulous 7 hour journey over the mountains, with breathtaking views. Book in advance and a single journey is approx £23. Reserved seating and very comfortable modern carriages. THE best way to travel between Bergen and Oslo.

If you do not stop and experince Finse and Myrdal, you should have a very good excuse :-) Finse has a special hotel, that feels like you are in the wildernes of antaktis. Myrdal has an even more fantastic railway than Bergens banen.

We travelled this trip in 2016 and again this year. On both occasions we were blown away by the scenery and changes in the landscape as we progress to the highest point. On the last occasion the snow was spectacular. The train itself was very...More

This 7 hour trip was really special. Terrain changes drastically; we even went through a snowstorm! Well worth the money and time

Arrived by train from the airport and within a very short time had bought tickets for the Metro. The station is clean and there are plenty of good places to get coffee / pastries / fruit etc. A 24 hour ticket allows access to trains,...More

It stops a couple of times but you don’t have to get off. It’s direct to Bergen.

Yes you can get a discounted ticket. My wife and I are well over that and found the discounted ticket on line with the Norwegian rail site on the internet.

We purchased our tickets for the Hardangerfjord cruise directly from NORLED. We did not buy from NIN.
