Built approx. 1100-1150. Stone church in the Roman style, with a Baroque alterpiece and pulpit from 1704. Runic stone in the porch. Organ concerts Tuesdays in the summerseason, from 2. July - 201. August at 8 p.m.. The church is open from 10. July - 11. August (11-14), the rest of the year by appointment.

Disclaimer..I was in Kristiansand to see where my great grandmother lived and this was her family church. Its outside of town. Its different from the other churches we've seen in Norway. The whole area is historic with evidence of being a viking village before 1000...More

This church is old, like the rest of the norwegian churches. This church has a quite spacy area around to walk in though. Recommended for historylovers.

here you can see and sence the histoy of the area. The church origines fram the 10 th century and has alot o histry in it

A beautiful old church with an intriguing rune stone. Open in the summer with members of the congregation on hand to offer guided tours and a welcoming cup of coffee. The cemetery surrounding the church is beautifully maintained.

This church is a wondrous beauty… her spires are simply inspiring… she is surrounded by lovely grave stones that are well kept and maintained… this church is worth A visit because of it's ancient history and architecture…

Ok as far church goes this is a nice wee church with graveyard I like walking around here got quit a few family members resting here.

This is a church from the middle ages (about 800) and the atmosphere is from that age. Then it was a catholic church, but in 1536 it became a lutheran church, got a very nice gallery and choir
