Do this instead of a tour - not much to see in Bergen really but a tour around once or twice and you're done

Get off at the Funicular and ride it for about $10-$11 p/p Great picks. If you're ridden this line in other European cities, don't forget to take that ticket and show for a 10... read more

Lovely city, with very friendly locals. Lots of interesting sightseeing to do, from Museums to harbour, from local small boutiques and shops to the larger shopping centre. Great vibe, civilised, with most local people speaking impeccable English. I would happily go back to Bergen and spend more time there!

This is one of the most photogenic place in Norway and one has to feel it by sitting and seeing, fjord experience, rope way experience, city center experience and what not. A picture perfect place and you cannot complain for anything. Connected to flam railways, meandering channels and amazing waterways make this place unique and wonderful

The funicular ride to the top of Mount Floien gave us an extensive view of the city and its harbours. we were able to pick out specific places of interest which we visited when we returned to sea level. Bryggen with its colourful old buildings, shops and restaurants is a must, as is the fish market with its fantastic displays... More

Well I say what it says on the tin but if it said cook for 20 minutes then sadly it took 40 minutes. Yes we where told buses run regular but we had to wait 40 minutes for one which was bad enough but the people at the next stop had also been waiting 30 minutes and couldn't get on... More

Get off at the Funicular and ride it for about $10-$11 p/p Great picks. If you're ridden this line in other European cities, don't forget to take that ticket and show for a 10% discount, we forgot! Anyway, if you're on a cruise ship, don't waste your money on food, eat on board either before or after your Hop on... More

These convenient and inexpensive hop on/off buses are the best way to see what each city or town has to offer. Then you can spend more time checking out the areas you are most interested in during your stay here. This was our 3rd time in Bergen and all 3 trips were very good. Having seen some of the city... We arrived on a cruise ship and once we got out of the cruise terminal on a free shuttle we were dropped very near to HOHO. We had pre-booked our tickets and there was no queue. We used the bus to take us to the cable car and then returned to then ship from outside The Tourist Information. I thought... More

This is a great way to see and learn about the city. The beauty with this type of tour is that you can get off and an when you please. The queue at the rail terminus was short so we were able to hope off, and then hop back on later.

Arrived in Bergen 2 weeks ago via cruise ship. Found the c/ship tours exhorbitant so instead went on the hop on-hop off bus. Cruise ship had berthed in the commercial port so we needed to take a shuttle bus first to leave the port area. However the hop on-hop off pick up point was just outside. The gentleman "controlling" the... More

We did the hop-on hop-off bus while on a cruise trip to Bergen. It was a great way to get around in the time we were there and gave a bit of respite from the rain!! The bus waited at the cruise stop for another bus to come as there were a lot of people trying to get on the... More
