Could be great...but empty

As part of a night out stopped in at Club 147. Enjoyed a few games of pool. Music was alright. But no more than 10 people in there. Also seemed a bit odd that when there... read more

Very friendly and helpful staff. We called in during the day for a drink and to enquire whether we would be able to watch a rugby league match in the evening. Even though there was a football match on at the same time( 2 minor teams I believe -Liverpool v Chelsea)and there was 6 hours before the match the staff... More

So been here a couple of times with a few beers down me and payed to get in. It is really a drab pub with poor beer and pretty dirty. Most of the staff seem embarrassed to be working there but at least they try there best. The doormen normally have faces that make you feel uninvited. Stay in the... More

Also seemed a bit odd that when there Olympics has just started that there were so many screens on sky sports 3 showing the muted post match analysis of a rugby league... More

Service excellent. Bar prices excellent.Lots of space so that too was excellent. Clean and tidy so you guessed it - excellent. Well worth a visit. Might become my local unless my wife finds out and wants to come too !

Anyone in the local area will know that 147 is one of those places that is so bad it's good. Don't go with high expectations and you'll have a good night.

Price of the beer was reasonable for a late bar but the toilets are an absolute disgrace (been before and they were the same then) to the point that environmental health need to have a word!

I went to 147 with a friend last night and we had a brilliant time. The staff were lovely, friendly and extremely efficient. As soon as we walked in the door we were acknowledged straight away. Their Tuborg is currently only £2.50 a pint which is an absolute bargain There's plenty to do from playing pool, playing darts, watching the... More
