I have told my children stories about my childhood and going to the seaside in the United Kingdom and watching Punch & Judy shows. Acknowledging we live in Japan they could not get their heads around people watching a puppet show at the seaside (because...More

The adults in the audience were enjoying this as much as the children. We did not stay to see the whole show as there was no where to sit. We stood for quite a long time and found ourselves shouting with the children. Took us...More

How sad to read some of the negative reviews of this wonderful traditional show. The day was pleasant, and it was just lovely to see all the children sitting on the promenade in front of the stage and shouting at Mr Punch. The story has...More

Hubby and I were walking along The Prom at 2 p.m. on Thursday when this show was starting. It is the longest running Punch & Judy show in Britain. The Codman family have been puppeteers for over 150 years. The Professor uses a swazzle (small...More

We sat and watched the show on Saturday 7 July and I couldn't believe my eyes and ears! The whole show is very un-pc. If it was a TV programme there would be warning before it started. It may be a tradition that has lasted...More

The show is usually on from Easter to September at weekends and school holidays, times are normally 2pm & 4pm and if the weather is great and the prom is busy a 12 noon show is added!
