Grand old building. Gets a bit lost with the market outside. But still impressive and a real Ipswich landmark.

The old town hall is an amazing Victorian building that is well worth a walk around and quick visit inside. there is a café inside with a good selection of food.

This is very much the heart of Ipswich with the Town Hall standing on one side of the Princes Street junction and what was the Post Office on the other. There have been many changes and yet more are scheduled soon. The Corn Exchange stands immediately behind the Town Hall, where on a Tuesday market day farmers and local business... More

The old town hall (1878), normally open for wedding bookings in the large upstairs hall, and now the lower floor is a cafe/tea room, to the rear is the Corn Exchange.

We held a Black Tie Ball for a local charity here and it was an excellent night. The staff and events team were helpful and the night went off perfectly. The Grand Hall was amazing and it fitted our needs flawlessly. The people were great, the event exciting and we had a wonderful night. We raised a handsome sum of... More

This is in the centre of the town and the market is normally held here. A large Christmas tree is the centre piece in the winter and they hold several different things here too

Lovely old Victorian building which is ideal for smaller concerts - we usually choose the folk ones. Good acoustics and quite an intimate feeling.

Some of the best architecture in Ipswich is found on the cornhill, the town hall, the lloyds avenue archway and the old post office. A couple of decent pubs and restaurants around the town hall are worth frequenting. I hope the planned overhaul of the cornhill is consistent with its original glory.
