We have been visiting the park for many years and it just gets better and better. The open spaces are ideal for dog walking and for children to explore, the cafes provide excellent food and drink and there is always something different to discover. There are formal gardens as well as woodland areas and bird watching hides so suitable for... More

This is directly against the will of the users *as well* as against the advices of the white paper that was undertaken. Whilst Upton house is lovely, make no mistake, a big draw for me was that there were no mandatory parking fees. Upton would often present itself as an alternative walk rather than Hengistbury Head in the summers as... More

I go there most days to the newish dog walking park ( not where the house is ) The dogs love the stream and a snoop in the woods, maybe a dip in the duck pond too! The only criticism I have is that there are not enough dog poo bins throughout the park! The tea rooms are nice and the... More

I essentially live across the road from Upton Country Park and can't recommend it enough. From the secret gardens to the walled gardens and open spaces, it's a great place to spend a few hours. The walks are great (just remember to bring boots of wellies in the winter)

A great place to bring your family, dogs included. A large parkland with picnic area and lovely walks overlooking Holes Bay. A restaurant for the essential cup of tea and cakes, or perhaps lunch. You can watch the children play in the dancing fountains, or take a walk round the gardens. Maybe a stroll through the woodlands, see if you... More

I thought this was expensive and lacked atmosphere. The waiting room to see santa is dreary, they have stopped giving out the train sets because they are breaking fine but don't leave them all out. After Santa no one to tell you where to go next. On the goody bag bins discarded boxes on top so I wasn't sure what... More

Be at one with nature, enjoy the spectacular views over the harbour whilst observing the water foul, waders and gulls, you may even spot an Egret or two. Take a picnic or have a bite to eat in the tea room. A relaxed environment, suitable for a walk alone or families with various assaults for all to enjoy.

Visited Santa this morning with 22 4/5 year olds. They ( and the adults) had an amazing time. The children were interested in the talk about the animals although some of the humour was lost on them but appreciated by the adults! Lots of questions about the reindeer that had lost one of his antlers. Santa was obviously the highlight... More
