We drove for 3 hours to see Snarky Puppy here and sat in the balcony area, with good views of the stage. The staggered seating is set up so you ought to be able to see well between the heads of the people in front. As always at gigs, one or two people around us had the attention span of... More

We weren't queuing for drinks so can't comment but theatre lovely, drinks in cafe overpriced (£2.50 for a bottle of 7-up) Seats comfortable but a little cramped (think far less room than an aeroplane or bus seat lol) Saw Rent which was excellent. The building is lovely. Staff were extremely courteous and helpful. We will be coming back - we... More

Saw the BSO playing Debussy & Rimsky Korsacof.. very good value for a truly excellent perfomance. Venue has Theatre, Concert Hall & cinema and has a full and very varied program of events.. Also has all the modern facilities, bars etc..Would highly recommend. There is a private multi storey car park next door in the back road behind which you... More

Saw rent last night , the show was excellent , but the venue slightly disappointed... my pint of thatchers was flat and warm, so I asked for another one and it tasted the same , so I went for a pint of lager instead ... too few toilets as per usual... and when it was half time there were only... Thank you for your feedback. We are really pleased you enjoyed the show. Please accept our apologies for the service you received at the main bar. The service yesterday evening was unfortunately affected by equipment failure and staff sickness. We are working to get the equipment replaced and will review our staffing requirements shortly. Went to see Banff film festival at the Lighthouse. Banff films were awesome as always. Venue is really good - reasonably priced parking nearby and staff we on the whole very friendly and welcoming. Our only grumble was the seats were not allocated. One of our friends drove down from his job near London to join us for the show... More

Alright looking venue, although why do places like that feel like it's ok to pack people in like sardines!! You pay a lot of money to see an act to be uncomfortable and feel like you're being a nuisance to anyone you're sitting next to just for moving.

Clean and tidy, bar and restaurant available. Reasonable fixed price car parking in the evening. Found the music volume quite loud. Saw Brendan Cole in all night long. Good show but narrow stage made things a bit awkward for the dancers.

Poole Lighthouse was refurbished over the summer of 2016 and this was my first visit after it had been finished. To outward appearances it looked a lot better, but knowing it of old I suspected it was but skin deep - and I was right. The entrances on the front have all been amalgamated into one big central one, thus... More

Thank your comments regarding Lighthouse. The main doors were moved back into their original position to allow the foyers to be sectioned off into three parts. This means that each section can be heated or lit separately to help improve the sustainability of the building and reduce running costs. Many of these improvements are behind the scenes, but have a... More

We visited on a Wednesday evening to hear the fabulous Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and were highly entertained. There is small licensed cafe area serving pre-show meals and the large bar area can cater for everyone with the interval drinks being organised expertly. There is good daisabled access with even some limited parking right outside the front doors. There is a... More

Went to see the Play That Goes Wrong. What a fantastic play this is. Laughed the whole way through. Had jaw ache afterwards. Couldn't praise it highly enough. Seats were good as well. Saw this play in London, but still laughed out loud seeing it for the second time.
