We had had a wet walk before arriving for our booked lunch so we're looking forward to tucking in. Not being a meat eater, I opted for the veg option, plus choice of carvery veg. These were very poor, undrained broccoli, overcooked carrots n savoy - not at all what one might expect now. Maybe staffing issues, no idea but would not hurry back, esp as there are competing establishments quite nearby who handle parties such as ours rather better.…

We went here for a work lunch. Upon arrival there was only one other person in the pub so it was not busy. There was 12 of us (so I was not expecting food to be very quick).we all ordered some food (ranging from soup, pate to burgers and fish&chips and just a portion of chips) we were not told of any time issues or delays with food, after an hour of waiting we went to get some information on when out food would be served. Around 10 mins later it arrived. Unfortunately some food was not edible (the pork), the burger looked sorry for itself, the fish and chips was the nicest. Sadly for the money and quality of food I would not return here for a meal. …

Our third visit in 3 months . Very pleased with the friendly staff . The sun was shining and the large beer garden, looked welcoming. . Enough digression, ales and ciders , exceptional . My wife and daughter opted for the chicken and carbonara linguine which they said was extremely tasty. I had the large portion of mussels , which were served in an excuisite, velvety sauce, with roasted sweet peppers and onion. , all I can say is I've had a lot of moules in my lifetime , but this dish was bloody good. Went here tonight with my partner the food was amazing and the man that served us was so lovely nothing was to much trouble he even asked the chef how he makes his mash as my partner said it was the best he ever had and wanted to try to re create it at home service food everything was 100 percent will defo b going back thank you xx…

We visited the half moon inn and we thoroughly enjoyed the quality and portions of food. All starters,mains and deserts had no fault with them. The service was brilliant very friendly. And the value was great. We would definitely visit again
