Description:

Situated in sixteen acres of historic walled and landscaped gardens,...

Situated in sixteen acres of historic walled and landscaped gardens, Wentworth Garden Centre is arguably the biggest and most attractive centre in the North Midlands. Its setting, in the former Kitchen, Italian and Japanese gardens of Wentworth Woodhouse is unique. We are not a member of any buying group or garden centre chain. We are a long standing, family owned independent and as such care passionately about our customers and their satisfaction. It's a policy that has seen the centre evolve from a tiny village operation into one of the largest garden centres in Yorkshire today.

After visiting Wentworth Woodhouse we came here to visit the historic garden and we were not disappointed. Very pretty and quiet, not many of the garden centre customers seem to visit this area. For a very small fee, it is well worth a visit and is a RHS partner garden.

Dear Gill Thank you for your email. I am sorry that you find our plants to be 'quite expensive' - obviously pricing is a subjective matter and whilst we are more expensive than supermarkets on plants (as they buy lower quality material in huge volume and cut margins) the majority of our customer base can see that there is a... Went with the 4 year old for a change of scenery. The garden centre has a great range of plants at good prices so I will be back for roses later! We explored the little farm area (separate cost but not much) which was ok although I felt some of the housing was small for the animals contained therein. Lovely... More

Absolutely love the buzz of this place, always very busy. The food is exceptional and staff are falling over to help with anything they can. The garden center is stocked with anything you can think of. With such a variety of things it will please everyone.

The service was slow and people who ordered after us got food before us. Apparently the chef doesn't cook each order in turn! The veggie lasagne was very good but quite a small portion. The choice of cakes were excellent and were very nice. Coffee was good too.

Hello, Thank you for your recent review. I am sorry that you were disappointed with the eggs benedict on your recent visit. We do serve our eggs benedict with 'soft' poached eggs so I am sorry that you found them to be hard on your visit. Obviously, how eggs are cooked are subjective and also people have different preferences. Hopefully... More

Nice garden centre with all the standard bits you would expect to see. Cafe is good and large so you can always get a seat. Definitely worth paying to go into the gardens which are lovely to spend some time in and make it a really good morning out.
