Very interesting visit. It is the 2nd time I have been and I loved hearing all the stories from the guides. Thoroughly recommend the full tour which is worth the money.

This beautiful stately home is set in beautifully landscaped gardens and is said to be the model for Mr Darcy's home of Pemberley. There are fantastic ceilings to admire but is very much a work in progress with the restoration of this neglected stately home.

Having visited Lady Mabel PE College while a school pupil, when it was housed here at Wentworth as well as reading and enjoying "Black Diamonds" a few years ago, I was delighted to have the opportunity of touring the house and grounds recently. What a gem of a place. The previous owners have dedicated a number of years in refurbishing... More

The house is very much a work in progress so don`t come expecting a fully furnished stately home. However fantastic ceilings and fireplaces, massive house and such an interesting social and architectural history. Reg the guide was really fantastic making the visit well worth it.What potential this place has.

Booked a two hour tour around this amazing hidden gem of a house expertly led by Reg. We had heard about the house from news reports. There are various tours bootable on the internet. We were a small group of 15 which took us into many rooms which were surprisingly lovely-we were expecting it to be in a poor condition.... More

We visited Wentworth Woodhouse for the Easter Event, which was a commercial exterprise to raise money for the house. I was so pleased to see that the Government are not allowing this beautiful historic house to fall into any more ruin, after the Labour government after World War II deliberately allowed the National Coal Board to mine almost up to... I haven't lived in Sheffield for over 30 years but have visited Wentworth and the Wentworth Woodhouse park several times in the past. This was my first tour within the house and gardens and it was well worth it. We were back in the UK for a week and as part of the trip I decided to take my girlfriend... More
