The South Yorkshire Transport Museum is a non-profit organisation which relies on donations, sponsorship, funding and the help of its volunteers to keep it running. A part of history is kept alive through the careful restoration of the vehicles.

We have been to the transport museum a few times now, lovely staff, nice little cafe and shop. It has a great variety of vehicles inside, great for little ones and adults.

Tried to get in here a few times but they are not open every weekend. Was worth the wait however. They have a good collection of local buses plus cars and other military vehicles. The displays are well thought out and informative. Definitely worth making...More

My young son loves cars and buses etc, for £4 we spent hours here. All the vehicles inside (and there are lots to look at) are excellently restored and give a great sense of nostalgia. There are also models and army memorabilia, but model ships...More

Victoria this is truly awful and I would like to apologise. We do struggle getting enough volunteers to help at weekends and most folk who turn up have come to work on their vehicles and are perhaps not the best equipped to give guided tours....More

This isn't the biggest museum I have ever visited but I nonetheless had a most enjoyable time. A well laid museum housing a fantastic collection of local significance.
