We took the advice given on the Rotherham FC website to go and have a look at the Minster. It's an impressive gothic building that dominates the town centre, but at Saturday lunchtime it was closed.

Visit the church for a quiet moment amongst a busy day. Peaceful and lots to see. We also enjoyed a coffee and biscuit served by volunteers.

This beautiful Minster Church is the focal point of the town. Part of my life from being a small child. Wonderful stain glass windows telling many stories along with the artifac which tell the history of the Church and town. The churchyard is beautifully kept...More

Tidy and interesting arcitecture. Interesting plaques and flags inside. Makes a good centerpiece when there's a special day on in Rotherham. Currently the clock needs attention but the building is worth a visit.

Its a lovely church, with a lot of history. Nice inside as well as outside. A great place to get married, i'm sure. Had our children christened here, seems along time ago, but it is really a nice church.

such a commanding building in the centre of town, it looks a lot better now that the scaffolding is finally down after the recent work on it, well worth a look around inside

I visit Rotherham minster every Christmas to see the nativity display. It is a very beautiful church. Please note it does close between 1-2pm at the moment. Definitely worth a visit, just wish I could have stayed longer

Despite having worked in Rotherham this was my first visit - a beautiful, historic jewel in the town centre. A very knowledgeable verger explained the roof is original medieval, cleaned up 10 years ago, with gold bosses- stunning. Parts of the church date back to...More

Rotherham has some really historic buildings if you know where to look and this is the best of the lot. In recent years the Council have improved a lot of the area around the church so it is now much more visible than in the...More

Rotherham Minster is a jewel in the town - it has some fascinating ancient features, including the organ and the font, plus beautiful new ones. It is a very welcoming church, with the church ladies serving teas, coffees and biscuits most mornings.
