Old houses - old town preservation. I lived here in one of these houses and saw how the house growth in my eyes as the developer of the house was refurbishing the whole building. If you leave in Dutch Quarter your Saturday night will be...More

It is easy to find from the High street as West Stockwell Street is next to the Town Hall. The other streets are all connected. As expected none of these houses have double glazing or Upvc doors or windows! It was apparently through the Dutch...More

Went on a guided tour from the Visitors centre and passed through this area. The guide was very knowledgeable and interesting and the tour was good value for money.

Worth seeing the attractive and colourful Dutch-style houses built around the 16th century but unless you are an architecture student or historian this hilly area just off the High Street shouldn't need more than half an hour of your time.
