This museum packs a great deal into a modet sized building. The displays walk you through centuries of military history illustrated by the arms and eauipment of the different eras. The exhibits are very well labelled and some of the individual stories are fascinating.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review. There are so many individual stories in the Museum that we sometimes have a hard time telling them all. We are currently looking at ways to include even more of them!

A great place to visit. So many aspects of the military that you never think about, particularly everyday life. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable and I will certainly be visiting again

Glad you found the Museum interesting! We tell the 300 year tale of the local Infantry Regiment and try to portray the human stories to show that it's more than just guns and bullets.

Unfortunately as Judy has pointed out, parking on the Parade Square is for staff and Blue Badge holders only. There is a pay and display car park next to the castle which is a short distance away Matt, Museum Assistant

Hello, the nearest car park to us is Devonshire Walk pay and display which is just round the corner from the castle. However if you are a disabled badge holder you can park inside the Castle.
