The YMCA Theatre is very popular with locals and tourists alike. It is very youth and community orientated and see's performances presented throughout the year by local groups of all age ranges.

The theatre also boasts its own in house production company (YMCA Productions) whom present many productions; including Pantomime, Easter Production and Summer Season. It has a very busy schedule.

The auditorium seats 290 patrons on tiered seating. It is fully Air Conditioned and has a deaf loop installed. It is very well equipped technically with computerised lighting and sound systems.

The Theatre is also fully licensed serving wines, beers and sprites 1 hour before each performance.

Came across Rock of Ages production at YMCA theatre when staying for a couple of.nights and looking for some evening entertainment. Excellent production and well worth going. Lovely theatre with very friendly staff in a cosy setting.

Nice Theatre, staff are friendly and cheerful, seats are comfortable, good selection of refreshments, Aladdin was a great treat for my grandchildren,

Booked to see rock of ages. Booking office had a lovely lady serving. Offered good choice of seats and advised which had best view. Pay and display parking next door. Got a drink at bar which we were able to take in with us. Bar staff pleasant and room nicely decorated. Seats had good view and are quite steep meaning... More

What a nice little theatre. Much better than the name or outside suggests. We saw rock of ages which we very much enjoyed. Not the west end, but very good.

You can call this biased as I had a daughter in the cast. But I thought the Panto at YMCA was very good indeed. Not your normal run of the mill Panto it went places out of this galaxy and beyond. It used film, a chase scene, which was very funny. Singing was in key,harmony's worked. Everyone knew there lines... More

The energy and effort put into the many productions seen here is fantastic and I would recommend any visitor to Scarborough in the Summer, or at Easter / Christmas to check out their latest production. You wont be disappointed and it is the cheapest theatre in the town so it is also good to your wallet

We visited the theatre to enjoy music from the West End musicals. Although there were only about 70 people in the audience the four singers managed well to entertain us & had us joining in

Went here on spec to see The Little Shop of Horrors. £10 ticket price is about norm. Really nice theatre with comfortable seating, really good production well performed and I am glad I decided to call in.

Very very good show well worth seeing if you get the Chance to see it go the music and lighting and the Cast are very very good
