Visited the sanctuary on Saturday 25th. It was a sunny day, so the outside talks were crowded but with the warm weather it was worth standing and listening too. The staff were highly knowledgeable about the animals and were happy to answer any further questions anyone had. The mini golf was good and lots of fun. Do feel that the... More

We visited on 27th March and had a lovely day, enjoying every aspect. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The animals are fascinating we enjoyed learning about the octopus, penguins, seals and otters. The talks were great and the two young lads (James and Leo) I think were very knowledgeable and happy to answer our questions. They are an... More

I felt it did not quite live up to the glossy brochures and pictures on the Internet and therefore it seemed somewhat overpriced. Things looked a bit "tired". Not good for small children as some of the tanks were quite high to see into. The Penguin Walk was closed (due to Avian flu). The sea lion hospital was closed. No... More

Dear CMead55 Thanks for your review. We are saddened to learn some of your feedback. Due to restrictions in force by the government agency DEFRA the walk through aspect of our penguins is indeed closed. This is to protect our 22 Humboldt penguins from illness. Whilst we apologise for this we hope that guests will understand the need to carry... More

This was boring. There was hardly anything there, fair enough there is fish.. not many to be honest.. apart from that there was 3 seals.. that smelled so bad I nearly was sick. 2 otters, then a few penguins which looked sad and dirty. staff were nice and the mini golf was fun

Dear Hayley, Thank you for taking the time to review Scarborough Sea life. I am saddened to read you found the centre to be boring. With 50 tanks and more than 1000 animals to see we believe there is plenty for our guests to see and do. I am confused by your comment regarding the seals; we have 15 seals... More

Educational visit for our toddler but thankfully we had a 40% off voucher (readily available in the local area) but it still cost us over £30 to go in and we were finished within 90 minutes. We enjoyed it but felt it was expensive for how big the centre is

I visited with my 3 year old and 5 month old midweek. I booked the parent and toddler ticket which was good value for all 3 of us at £14. My 3 year old really enjoyed it and raced around so we had to go around twice to make sure we had seen everything. My 5 month old was mesmerised by... More

Really enjoyed my visit here yesterday. The best bits were definitely all the talks that were going on at various exhibits. They were very informative and you got to see the animals close up. The staff who delivered the talks clearly knew their stuff and were able to answer any questions from the public with great knowledge.
