Did this train jerney as a trip while staying at cricket st thomas but could be done on your own started at minehead but you would have to do a return journey

I took a trip to Minehead from Bishops Lydeard station and back. What a ride just going back in time. Everything at the station and on the trains was just like the 60s. The volunteers are the ones who make this happen.

If you get the train from Blue Anchor instead of Minehead or Bishops Lydeard etc., you can park on the road on the seafront for free. Alternatively, do what we did and stay overnight at the camp site - Hoburne Blue Anchor... More

Sorry I didn't get off there, we went in the opposite direction. However, we are heading back to Somerset in a few weeks and may go that. Maybe update you then? :)
