Recently renovated and with mobility access we found it a very interesting place to visit .Weaving demonstrations by people in the costumes of that period,very good coffee shop and helpful volunteers.

Checked opening times on website before visiting only to find after travelling over an hourcto get there that it was closed !!!!! Won't bother again.

Really enjoyed my visit to day for 'Stir Up Sunday' at the museum. A heritage lottery grant has enabled significant refurbishment and now we have an authentic bedroom for the period. Lots of activities and interest for adults and children alike and a great café with lovely homemade cakes; I also bought some to take home with me. Huddersfield Family... More

This place is a little gem in the Colne Valley. Recently extended to include a cafe & refurbished it's a great place to visit especially children. It's educational but interesting & fun at the same time. Check out the special weekends where they do breadmaking & lace making etc.

Fab interactive museum. Jump into the past and have a history lesson. A great place to visit whether your local or visiting on holiday. A hidden gem in Folder Huddersfield.

This museum is housed in one Of Golcar's old weaver's houses so one can feel the authencitiy The exhibits are truly fascinating and on certain days weaving and baking the old-fashioned way are demonstrated
