Lovely theatre, not the best I've been to, but I actually like that it's quite small and not huge like some I've been to.

We love this theatre - we've been to several shows and the pantomimes are excellent. Lots of people don't seem to realise where it is but it's a gem! Well worth a visit if you're in Huddersfield!

I've lived in Huddersfield for years, but up until yesterday, I had never set foot in this lovely theatre. We attended a performance of Billy Liar by Huddersfield Thespians. It was in the cellar theatre. The setting was very relaxed, and just the right size. We really enjoyed the play, and thought the production was very professionally done. The actors... More

The LBT, built in 1819 as a Methodist chapel, was converted into a theatre in the 1990s. The alteration was done really well, with good sight lines and comfortable seats throughout the house. It has a varied programme and is a pleasure to visit.

Great performance in a good space. Attended to see a Huddersfield Thespians performance of Grimm Up North. Super fun suitable for all ages and even included a 'relaxed' performance for families with special needs members. Toilets, entrance and all public areas clean and welcoming. Would attend again.

Drove 50 miles to see one of our favourite comics - Jonathan Pie - perform here. Incredible building - an ex-Wesleyan chapel - with quirky seating that enables a good view of the stage wherever you sit. Shown to our seats via the lift by a lovely female usher who had been there for 13 years and knew all about... More

I'm not really sure how we have lived here for nine years and this is my first time visiting this great theatre. I went with my two young kids going on the bus and the theatre is about a 10 minute walk (with little ones in the rain) away. Fabulous building near the Kingsgate centre. You can get drinks and... Nice little theatre with BIG atmosphere. Friendly staff and great seating. We saw the production of Cinderella, and it was genuinely one of the best I've seen. Superb acting and atmosphere. Even the icecreams at the interval were reasonably priced. Looking forwards to next year's panto. Ps, re car parking: street parking if you get there early enough, otherwise there... More

Wow, what a great panto. We went to Bradford the week before to their panto, which granted had bigger names, was more polished and had evidently had more money thrown at it, but that did matter. Cinders at LBT was 100x better. The dames were hilarious, 2 adults, 4 kids and we all howled all the way through. Exactly how... More

This was my first visit to this theatre and we saw an amateur production in the cellars. Great small space and really good to see it put to this type of use.
