A lovely park to walk through with a good cafe and super play areas. There are also lots of picnic tables and toilets.

This is an fantastic walk. It's really peaceful, very green and by the edge of the sea. Even better, if you take children there is a small, free adventure playground. What's not to love?

Folkestone may not be the first place you think of when booking a holiday but the Leas and the coastal park that runs parallel along he lower cliffs is incredible. It is a fantastic car free environment for walks, barbecues, picnics and even a dip in the sea, although maybe only in warmer weather😉. Had grown very fond of the... More

One of the most beautiful walking and recreational areas that we know anywhere. Something for everyone there. Like a little bit of the Med. Coast in the UK>

I just managed to get a warm sunny lunchtime break and walked here down from in front of the 2 large hotels. Going down was great, fabulous views as the sea was at high water lapping on the pebble beach. Going back up to the car was very tiring as it's a nearly vertical walk and I'm old. Pleased I've... Fabulous play area for the kids with something for all ages. But add to that the BBQ areas supplying BBQs and picnic tables - just bring your own food, charcoal and lighters - and you have the perfect family day out. You are amazingly sheltered under the trees from the worst of any coastal breezes and sunburn but still able... More

Beautiful area. The Coastal park is only accessible on foot, but you can park at either the Folkestone end near the Water Lifts, the Sandgate Riviera end near the Toll House, or on the Leas and walk down the Zig Zag path. It offers play equipment for youngsters, picnic, BBQ areas and quiet seating areas, and an Amphitheatre for summer... More

Have been here a few times now. My son loves the different play areas. Really varied - sand areas with buckets and pulleys, small bouncy metal rides, zip wires, climbing nets and the biggest wooden play area I've ever seen. Always clean and tidy we end up staying for hours - even in winter. The only improvement I would suggest... More

This is a well landscaped area to walk along. I found the man made caves/recesses around zig zag path interesting. I also came across a BBQ area good for the Summer. Lots of plants.

Living in Folkestone, I've been visiting the Coastal Park for most of my life, either with friends or family. It's a great place for kids, with plenty to climb on and explore, but it's also a good hangout for teenagers and has a lot of places for activities of all ages like having a picnic or exercising. It's a beautiful... More
