Once a lively place the harbor seemed to have lost it importance with Eurotunnel development. But in the recent years considerable efforts have been made to take the harbor back to life. Now we can harvest: cozy bars and restaurants occupy now all along the mall, stalls with local food and delicacies (including incomparable Jane's gelato) are everywhere on week... More

It's just a typical run down harbour however it does get quite busy during the summer months. Folkestone council need to spend some serious money here to keep the visitors coming.

Folkestone in general is pretty run down. There is definite potential but the city just needs some cleaning up. There is quite a bit of litter on the beaches and the local teens are loud and obnoxious. I'm not thrilled with our choice to visit here.

This is a great place for families of all ages. There are drinkeries, eateries, and I've creams of all sorts around. Places to sit and watch. A fountain area that is very popular with the kids. Definitely worth one of more visits. There are toilets very close, including a disabled one (Make sure you have your radar key).

It was such a shame to see the harbor so dilapidated, after visiting since a toddler, when it was a thriving port. However after years of absence, it was amazing to see upon my return the rejuvenated harbour arm. Even though it has been going for a couple of seasons it has massive potential. An eclectic mix of pop up... More

A must visit location at the weekend! Building works are ongoing but it hasn't spoilt our experience. A massively improved location, very arty and plenty of cafes and eateries popping up weekly..

This area is currently under renovation and will hopefully be great once finished. Old fishing harbour that still has a few boats operating out of it, really pleasant to walk around. There are a number of fresh sea food stalls and pubs around for lunch or an evening meal. Close to the town and lot's of local parking.

The harbour is in the middle of a revamp. Work is under way dredging the harbour. The rail line to the old harbour station is getting a face lift ! Watch this space its exciting to see so much activity at last.

Pedestrian access is awful and it's nothing but a big carpark which the council must require consider to remove if want to make this place attractive. The harbour end occupied by people doing fishing and can be rude to visitors. Found little bit not a place for foreigners to go as twice I been passed on with comments from behind... More
