Good range fair price and prompt friendly service. I use the place fairly frequently and whilst there is no local alternative I would recommend

What a wee gem this place is... Run on a tight budget but what a lot you get for a small admission charge.. Something for everyone and the local history section is absolutely wonderful. Top mark to all the staff who keep this little gem in really good order. Ideal rainy day (Rain in Dunoon???) visit but really should be... More

Really enjoyed taking my mom here on our trip to Scotland to see hubby's hometown. Lots of history from different eras. She really enjoyed it, especially the time frame from when she was a young girl. This museum isn't very big but it has lots of things to see. Worth a visit.

We saved visiting the museum until we had a free day in Dunoon. I think we benefited from having seem most of Dunoon and the surrounding area before our visit so were better able to appreciate some of the museum's content. The photo gallery of Dunoon past and present was the most enjoyable and I don't think we would have... More

Amazing collection of memorabilia and artifacts of Dunoon and Cowel Peninsula Small museum but it is well worth spending at least an hour enjoying the exhibits and reading the story boards. Thank you to all the volunteers who have made this museum a must see in Dunoon

Good for a rainy day and Scotland gets plenty of those! Bit expensive for what was in there though. Local history you would expect from a small town museum. Volunteer staff nice and helpful.

The attendant was excited about the history of the area. He asked questions about our interests and relations and showed us extra pertinent pictures and articles.

People in the area asked if we'd been to "the castle" so we decided to go thinking we were touring the building. We were pleasantly surprised to discover it was a local museum. Additionally, it was a free-will donation. We learned a lot by going thru the museum about the history of the area but the people working there were... More
