The gardens were stunning and offered a lovely outdoor experience for our young kids. There were ducks and birds, a lovely river and lake, play area, train on a track (which was out of use when we visited but would have been great for the kids) and beautiful surroundings. We only discovered this at the end of our stay but... More

I have visited the Pavilion Gardens on many occasions and at all seasons. Even though the Octagon is closed at the moment the Pavilion Gardens has catered for that. The children love the gardens and fish; toilets are handy; café is okay; shop though expensive is worth a look; the restaurant is okay - there is a soft play area... More

Lovely stroll around some lovely gardens. It has a cafe bar and a restaurant. It also houses the fabulous opera house at the end of the promenade. Plenty of ducks to feed on the ponds. Kiddies play areas. Miniature train but this wasn't out on our visit. Guess this is for busier summer months. All in all a lovely place... More

We visited Buxton in March and have a lovely walk around these gardens. Lovely that this is well kept, right in the centre of Buxton and free of charge. We particularly enjoyed walking through the botanical conservatory. There is a cafe as well that looked busy but we didn't have time to stop.

Lovely garden to walk though, and a great park with separate areas for smaller children. There is a train that runs round the park but unfortunately it wasn't running when we visited but looked great. Car park is pay and display and seems to get very busy. Worth a visit

Well needless to say, not many parks you have to pay entry for, but it's always worth mentioning when things are free! Am I right? Our visit here was a pleasant one. Very peaceful, nice large grass areas, and plenty of ducks and geese to feed (if you wish too) - They were certainly getting fiery when me and my... More

This is another feather in Buxton"s cap for an ideal tourist must see destination. Considering we visited in April the whole area was in great condition.

Have many fond memories of this place from over the years. The park is well kept and always popular with food and drinks available on the better days and during events. There's the swimming pool also, however the pool water is cooler than the air temp and not great for babies.
