This village pub opens for lunch and then again in the evening, the limited hours reflect the demand, which is generally low. The decor isn't dated, it is carefully crafted to create a tradition pub feel, albeit... More

Had a lovely visit to The Blinking Owl on the weekend. A very traditional pub with roaring fires and a friendly smile to welcome you in. Food was all cooked fresh and very tasty. Highly recommended.

Stooped for a drink recently whilst exploring the area, it is a truly lovely pub, busy but staff welcoming and helpful. The menu looked good - will return to sample soon.

We stayed in the hotel for one night. And we were the only guests, and possibly the only people who gave money to the pub that night! The room was pleasant enough but we did find a few cobwebs.... The bedding and finishing were a bit old, and not in a 'traditional' way in a 'you haven't bought new bed... More

We booked as there were a lot of us, but we needn't have bothered, the place was empty. The building itself is interesting and the owner and his wife pleasant enough but this is not an eating pub. The menu was bland and boring, standard pub food - no specials and half the stuff on the menu they didn't have,... More

Stayed here for one night. Very warm welcome from Dave and Sylvia. Enjoyed a drink and snack in the beautiful garden before setting out on a circular walk from the pub. Ate in the lovely cosy bar in the evening. The food was very good. Afterwards chatted with some friendly locals. The room was nice and we had a comfortable... More
