How fantastic it was to bring my first Grandson to the Bluebell Railway just as my grandparents brought me over 50 years ago. The whole experience was wonderful. From arriving in the ticket hall and being given an authentic card ticket which the platform master clipped my Grandson was wide eyed. He loved the steam locos, talking to the drivers,... More

Anniversary present from our chilfren was afternoon tea on a steam train from Sheffield Park. Arrived early to look around the steam sheds as they have a grwat selection of steam trains. The trip to East Grinstead took around three quarters of an hour whilst we had a superb afternoon tea. In reality probably too much food but all of... More

Was treated to lunch for n the Pullman by a relative. The experience was magnificent. Serve was excellent and the staff were all very nice and helpful. Just a couple of criticisms. Why were there no complimentary bottles of water on the table. The meal was not cheap and the water offered came in huge bottles, too much for one... More

Very lovely tea aboard the Wealden Rambler, however....marred by a waitress spilling wine over one of our party (we hadn't even ordered wine, it was for the table opposite). No apology at the time, incident was virtually ignored by staff. My subsequent email of complaint got 'mislaid' and I had to send it again. STILL no reply - no apology,... More

Probably not the best time of year to visit being a February cold grey day; we started at East Grinstead and getting to the car park you're supposed to use isn't easy with infrequent signage; then we came across two brown Bluebell Railway signs pointing in opposite directions!!! Anyway, we caught the train from East Grinstead down to the main... More

Thank you for your comments, Sue P, and your recent visit to the Bluebell Railway. We would like to begin by saying we are glad to read how much you enjoyed the trip itself. We do not have our own car park at East Grinstead. There are several car parks in the town itself, and this may help to explain... More

The Bluebell Railway based at Shefffield Park is always a pleasure to visit, Nice and friendly staff, a chance to see the engine shed and museum plus take a steam train to East Grinstead. One thing we have never done is dine on their Pullman Dining service mainly because it's a long way from the Midlands. But my wife booked... More

Had a Christmas meal on the Bluebell Railway. The train was made up of beautifully restored Pullman carriages. The meal and services was excellent and there was carol singers on the platform. A very lovely experience.

Great little steam railway. There are plenty of static steamers to look at and a very interesting museum. We just got platform tickets and watched the steam engine arrive and depart. When the train arrives the engine decouples and then runs to the other end of the train. We had the added bonus of the engine stopping to refill with... More

We visited with our friends who are steam railway enthusiasts. The day was thoroughly enjoyable. The cafe on site served freshly made food which was delicious and reasonably priced. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The premises were clean and well kept. Town centre a bit of an uphill walk so we were unable to walk there.... More
