Explore the sights and sounds of Africa and discover lions, giraffes, rhinos, meerkats, hunting dogs and many more animals from the African continent. The spectacular centrepiece of Africa Alive!, our "Plains of Africa" paddock, is the perfect place to spot 5 species of African savannah animals, including our graceful giraffe and heavyweight rhinos. Enjoy a bird's eye view of our magnificent lions from "Lookout Lodge", and visit "Lemur Encounters", which gives you the chance to get incredibly close to our ring-tailed lemurs as you walk through their enclosure! Bird lovers can also enjoy spotting native species from our new "Wader's Lake Boardwalk". Discover some amazing facts about our animals during our exciting feeding talks and seasonal Bird of Prey displays. Climb aboard the free Safari Roadtrain for an entertaining journey around the Park. Look, learn and play in our fun-packed Discovery Centre and meet some of our smaller residents at the animal encounter sessions. A good range of African animals including some really unusual ones like the aardvarks. Most of the animals seem to have enough space and seem happy. It's not too big that you get tired by the end of the day. Good value and a large portion of the entrance fee goes to charity. Only downside was the cafe. The food... More

Great place to visit - could spend all day there. Great for adults and kids, lots to see and do. Very clean with lots of large space for the animals. Green everywhere, very little concrete visible, paths kept to a minimum, meaning you walk along grass fields and pathways mostly. Great timetable of activities too. We thought it was expensive... We had a great day out here. There is alot of walking but if you have older children and you like a casual walk it's great. The train ride around the park was really informative and friendly lady who gave the mini tour was informative and lovely. The bird of prey show was brilliant and again really informative. The feeding... More

A really good medium sized zoo. The Africa plains with a number of large animals wandering about was very good. Lots of information available on the animals and their breeding programmes. Even had some animals we'd never heard of.

We visited Africa Alive whilst on holiday over Easter. What a fantastic place. Though it was Easter holidays and a really nice day, it wasn't too busy. There was plenty to see in beautiful countryside so just walking around was pleasant in itself. The way the park was laid out enabled us to get a good view of all the... More

We visited Africa Alive whilst staying at the adjacent campsite for the long Easter weekend. I have never visited before and I had a great and enjoyable day. The kids loved it, loads to do and see with really excellent animal encounters and observations. The bird of prey displays were brilliant and the staff we interacted with were knowledgable and...
