This place is a real treasure. It is gorgeous, the house and gardens are amazing, the views are wonderful. We had a lovely time seeing English historic houses at their best.

Great day, had a look round the house and gardens. The maze was fun and had good weather. Didn't have food there as was busy but brought a picnic.

Nice gardens and a lovely spontaneous Hall but the price of entry is extortionate! Especially when don't see much of the place. If you like flowers and gardens then you will love Somerleytons garden. The maze is good too can get lost so that can be fun when you take the children. This is best to do in the warm... More

This was our second visit here it's absolutely beautiful with gorgeous gardens and a maze. I got very stressed though as I have a great fear of wasps and it was swarming with them.

I've been here several times over the years with friends and family. It's a lovely relaxing place to visit. The hall is beautiful with it's splendour inside and the gardens are very well looked after. The Maze is fantastic, it's very cleverly done so you will get lost every time, which adds to the fun. The shop has some lovely... More

This place was well worth a visit, different from a National Trust as the house is still lived in by the family and this gives the estate a personal touch. A lovely maze to explore and the place where the first hovercraft was tested! Worth booking on a tour to see the house rooms!

It was during this summer we cycled to the hall, we had been before, but this visit was special, we had a secret agenda ( could we get married there in the garden), a lot of the gardens are naturalised which is what we like, but with other formal plots for the balance The hall is delightful with much authentic... What an amazing venue for a wedding! Luckily we had great weather, so many of the pictures were taken outside in the beautiful gardens. The wedding itself was conducted in the Orangery which was very relaxed and informal.

I visited by myself, as a keen photographer it's sometimes easier that way! Very easy to find and large free car park. After you pay you walk through the cafe into the gardens. The house is about a 5-10 leisurely walk through the beautiful gardens. On this occasion I didn't visit the house. On my previous visit I did do... More
