What a lovely spot, hidden away and a great tea room where we had a delicious lunch although the portions were enormous! The house is most interesting and worth a visit if you like to be transported back in time, the guides are very knowledgeable and the views are stunning too. The art and the furniture are wonderful although unfortunately... More

I've been to Tabley House grounds a number of times, but never ventured inside the house. But what a gem! Packed full of great art and furniture, beautifully presented. Once inside, you really feel transported back to an earlier time - so evocative. The lovely ladies (not sure whether they are staff or volunteers) who guide you through every room... More

What a fabulous find: a beautiful tearoom hidden away yet on the main road to Knutsford. This is everything a tearoom should be: the most important being that they serve proper loose leaf tea none of the teabag rubbish. The second important point is that the tea is served in China cups. Tea always tastes better from a China cup.... More

Visited tea rooms and house today with my mum. The team rooms are in a beautiful room with so much history attached. Unfortunately we both agreed that the food we had was very mediocre. Under done poached eggs on 2 barely toasted crumpets with hollandaise sauce. We didn't want the ham that should have come with them, we were charged... More

We visited with friends who have lived locally for over 30 years but had not discovered this gem. It's poorly signed as it shares part of its building with Tabley House Care Home. There is plenty of parking and a charming tea room. There are several large rooms open to the public, at a charge of £5 a head. There... More

Visited with my Husband, as a treat after an operation, we were warmly greeted, all delicious home cooked food and cakes, thoroughly enjoyed, nothing to much trouble for Debbie and Mark the people who currently run it, with pleasant staff. Have been a few times. Always worth a visit to see a wonderful, atmospheric Chapel without charge.

Fantastic tea room with top food. I can highly recommend the tranquil environment and peaceful atmosphere of the Cheshire countryside. The owner of the tea room was very welcoming and lovely to talk too. I am so glad we have discovered this "hidden gem" at our doorstep.

We visited the tearoom, which is just so quaint and really oozes history from the amazing fire place to the beautiful little chapel. The staff were so friendly and full of information, they obviously love the place (and no wonder) We also visited the house. The volunteers are brilliant, so full,of knowledge and keen to share it. Would highly recommend... More

Beautiful tea room in a fabulous peaceful setting overlooking the cheshire countryside. Coffee and cakes are first class (all home made Inc the jam). The chapel that the tea room sits in is stunning. As an added extra you can visit the house if you like your art but visit the tea room and you will get the warm welcome... More
