You can see this palace in Kirkwall, near the place where you can buy the orkney pass. Its very old and a ruin, but stille a beauty

Just across from St. Magnus Cathedral, much of this structure is well preserved and well worth visiting!

This is worth the time to visit as it is in town and has an interesting story. Give it a try and the church across the street.

Me & my partner stumbled along The Earl's Palace by accident. There's so much to look around! The weather was nice so we leisurely walked around the grounds and read all the history. Well worth a visit - and best of all, it's free!

There isn't a tour. Entrance in Kirkwall is about 4 Scottish pounds. There is signage and you can wander where you like. Next to the Bishop's Palace and interestingly they built the functioning law courts behind the... More

Hi there,if you arrive at Hatson you will be shuttled by bus,to the travel centre,you can walk from the travel centre in about 5 mins,its just next to the cathedral,so you cannot miss it,Bishops palce is right next to Earls... More
