'Hidden Gem' is the best description of the Gibberd Garden. We have lived in Harlow almost 40 years and never found the time or inclination to visit the Garden. But then we saw the signpost for the Autumn Colours open day and decided to take a chance. We weren't disappointed! A cheery welcome from the ladies on the ticket desk,... More

I have visited the gardens several times over the years but this was my partners first visit. We started off in the tearooms for homemade soup (delicious!) and drinks. We found that for what we had it was very reasonably priced. We then spent around 2 hours exploring the gardens. Several sculptures had been added since my last visit so... More

This is one truely tremendous place to visit in. The gardens are superb with such a range of sculptures. The tea room is also fantastic with delicious cake and really nice ladies. We are so lucky to have inherited this gem from sir Gibberd. I love it, my friends love it, you'll love.

We hired the garden for a private family function one afternoon. The team there were extremely pleasant and helpful, both in the run up to the event and whilst there itself. They provided an afternoon tea with a range of cakes, sandwiches and fruit scones - all of which were delicious and plentiful. As well as having sole use of... More

Lovely place. No public transport to it though. Big gardens easy to lose yourself in, lots of different areas and interesting little nooks. Admission is very cheap. A very lovely afternoon. Staff are very friendly and I always feel welcome. Only been here a few times as I'm not local, but the last time before now was when we booked... More

A lovely, unusual garden for the whole family to enjoy. Try and find all the scupltures on the map, great to see children hunting sculptures rather than on ipads! Shame we went on a wednesday when the house was not open - but definately worth going back again. A hidden gem in Harlow.

Visited yesterday with our well behaved dog. Made to feel very welcomed by the volunteer staff who even provided a fresh bowl of water for our dog. Very interesting garden, with many different little areas with lots of sculptures to spot and artifacts collected by Frederick Gibberd during his life here. Also took it in turns to view inside his... More
