Experience the lives of families who lived in this splendid Quayside house from Tudor to Victorian times.Discover Victorian life 'upstairs and downstairs' and find out what is was really like to work in the kitchen and scullery. Decide for yourself if the death of Charles I was plotted in the Conspiracy Room. Dress the family in Tudor costumes. Let children play in the activity packed toy room, and relax in the small, but delightful, walled garden. The Elizabethan House is a National Trust site managed by Norfolk Museums Service.

Visited here hoping to have an interesting visit and a cup of tea. Sadly, no tea room! It was interesting and we spent an enjoyable hour here. I would certainly recommend for NT members but not sure it would be worth it otherwise

This is an important house and not without interest, not least the connection to the death of Charles I (allegedly planned here) but given the limited amount to be seen inside it is a little expensive (fine if you are a NT member). Downstairs there...More

Owned by the NT, this house was very nicely set out with dramatics in the one room, children's rooms with things for them to do

This National Trust property is run by Yarmouth Museums and sadly lacks the quality of provision usually associated with the trust. The rooms have no guides to help and the only staff member was busy in the shop. There is a TV guide in one...More

This house is interesting with all the rooms decorated in different periods. Full of things for the children to try on etc.

Building itself may be Elizabethan but covers more than those times. Very dark throughout as curtains are pulled to protect artifacts. Alleges to be where plans to depose Charles 1st were laid with one of the plotters a signatory of the arrest warrant. Roundhead armour...More

This is the perfect place to take your children on a rainy afternoon and show them how people lived in the past. It has a mix of styles so to call it Elizabethan is not 100 % accurate. The kitchen is victorian and has a...More

A private house, meeting place, Conspiracy against King Charles I. This relatively small house has it all. Well worth a visit.

Very disappointed by the fact that the museum was closed for no obvious reason whereas it should have been open. Not even a note on the door. And this being a NT property.
