St Catherine's Castle is quite poorly sign posted so be aware that to get to it from Readymoney Cove you have to go up a narrow footpath which at first appears to be taking you into someone's private driveway. You then go up quite a...More

Worth the walk from the town, you get to see Readymoney beach and have a short steep climb up. Not much of a castle to see when you get there but great views of the estuary and out to see. Best on race days when...More

There are two walks leading to the castle from Readymoney Cove. From the beach there is a steep, stepped walkway interspersed with pathways which can be a bit slippy when wet. The much longer but gradual climb is from the road by the refreshments and...More

Decided not to let the wet weather keep us indoors and walked all the way from Bodinnick ferry to here and back again. Great to see the crashing waves and angry sea - the castle is empty but worth the walk for the views.

Quite difficult to access as the area is very steep. Worth a look but not for the unfit! Lovely views though.

The walk to St Catherine's castle is as much about the ruins as it is about the amazing views from the location. It is at least a half hour walk from the village to Readymoney beach, a great little cove with a sandy beach. From...More

You will pass it on your hike along the south coastal cornwall walk. But it is not an impressive structure.
