The Red House Museum & Gardens is located in the centre of Christchurch by the Priory. The former Georgian workhouse is now a local history museum which hosts a changing programme of exhibitions and activities for families and adults. Relax in the aromatic walled Herb Garden featuring herbs and old-fashioned roses, and stroll through the woodland walk in the tranquil South Garden. Facilities include, accessible toilets, cafe, shop as well as venue hire spaces.

There is so much to see. You will need quite a bit of time to see everything. Don't forget the dinosaurs in the garden.

Worth a visit to learn of the history of Christchurch with some interesting artefacts on display. It's best feature is the research room for serious researchers where in depth documents and files can be viewed. Small pleasant garden at rear

Great museum, lots to see and part of a Bailey bridge as well. Watch out for the dinosaurs. Gardens are lovely with interesting herb garden

Interesting place / history of the Christchurch Workhouse. Unusual garden which is worth a visit, especially for children. It's a free visit, donations are welcome.

You must absolutely visit this enchanting museum Small yes , character OMG you will really love this place, plenty to see and walk around staff are so efficient and really helpful. If your coming to Christchurch then you really must visit this lovely place
