Love a race day here. Nothing fancy. But great location, drinks reasonable. Staff always friendly. Suitable for family day out too

I visit many courses across the country and this is not one of my favourites. The layout is confusing, limited toilets with huge lines of people who are drunk urinating over the floor . And that was at 3pm . It just seems to be an excuse to get drunk and ignore the horse racing . Viewing of the track... More

It gets three stars from me, and that's only because the acts were amazing.......... Not allowed to take any food or drink in, not even water. Food, such as it was, was pretty dire and overpriced, as were all drinks, be it alcohol or soft drinks. We followed instructions to the letter, ie not to take cameras or photo taking,... More

Pop concert. Mid summer and blistering heat. 4000 people and 20 single portaloos. Witnessed females having to relieve themselves in the open due to 300 metre queues for the loos on either side of the field. Absolutly humiliating I would imagine Everybody was frisked on entry in case you 'smuggled' in any food or drink - including water. £1.50 for... More

My partner and I paid £50 each for the 80s event ( normal ticket price was £25) for Gold Circle tickets. For this we thought we would get some sort of preferential treatment, but sadly not. We had to queue in the same queue to get in, queue in the horrendous queues for drinks ( wait time was over an... More

Absolute shocking organisation, must have had a fair idea of numbers going yet people had to queue for an hour plus to buy drinks?!?! And then they were warm 😡 no where near enough toilets, and no men's urinals resulting in queues being double the length or a line of men relieving themselves against the fence. Such a shame as... We went to the 10th August meeting while on holiday. The experience didn't get off to a good start when we tried to pay to get in. The whole racecourse is cash only - not taking card!! Which I think is ridiculous when you consider that a family going isn't exactly cheap. Luckily we had sufficient cash. I was then... More

We visited earlier in the year and it was much less busy, the weather was awful then too which didn't dampen our enthusiasm. This time we had brought friends with us and while they enjoyed their day I have to say that I felt like a second class citizen! I couldn't get a drink at a near empty bar as... More
