Bude sea pool is a very special place. Children and less confident swimmers can learn safely here. Local groups make good use of the pool. It is quite literally on the beach and close to the sea. It does get covered by the tide.

Always busy in the summer but always nice to be at. Easy access and good views across the beach and towards the sea

Hi Chris, thank you for your review, we still have swimmers in the pool this time of year!

Bude offers something I've never seen before. This seapool or swimming pool has been manmade to give safe swimming. Depending on the time of year and waves it can be very warm swimming. It's a lovely photo opportunity and featured on most postcards.

We are frequent visitors of Summerleaze and Crooklets beach and my girls love to mess around in the sea pool when they are not surfing. This August my youngest stepped on a weaver fish and was stung. I didn't think much of it to be...More

A unique swimming experience, serene and delightful, once you get over the initial shock of the water temperature (no wet suit). Love to swim here after surfing and always support the Sea Pool shop at the entrance to the car park - a swim hat,...More

Thank you for your review Dave, we do have many hardy souls who brave the elements and swim all year round, some without wetsuits!

The pool is completely enclosed with a cordoned-off 'beginners' area and then a larger/deeper area. It is always full of sea water but separated from the sea until the tide comes in and almost covers it up. An enjoyable and safe place to swim, kept...More
