Next year will be my third visit to the beautiful Lundy Island. For those that have mentioned that you can see all the attractions of Lundy in half a day, I say, 'get a life'. Perhaps they can't exist without a mobile phone stuck to their ear. O.k the positives. The little shop is brilliant. If you have any foody... More

Our Day Crossing was cancelled after getting up at 7am and making the trek. At no time were we text or called to say t had been cancelled and I every checked the day before and everything was fine. The weather was cloudless skies and a light breeze. It was an idyllic day however at 9am the boat was cancelled.... More

I'm sorry we had to cancel your trip at short notice and the obvious inconvenience caused. Unfortunately sailings to Lundy at the beginning of October were adverslly affected by persistent strong Eastery winds which restrict landing on the Island to low tides only. As both Bideford and Ilfracombe are sheltered from Easterly winds, conditions 23 miles out to sea can... More

Now on booking it was explained to me that if the sea state was too rough then the captain wouldn't sail and the trip would be postponed. Unfortunately this wasn't the case. The boat wasn't prepared to deal with what happened due to the chaos. I'd advise to only book this trip if you are sure of an easy crossing.... More

We have been on Lundy Island in August. It was so peaceful, would recommend. I didn't want to leave the Lundy. The boat trip was so long for me (from Ilfracombe), it was 2 hours, and I was seasick. But it was unforgettable day! If you want to see the Puffins, go there in May or June. In August unfortunately... More

We stayed on Lundy in one of the marvellously quirky Landmark Trust cottages for two nights. We had pre-ordered some food from the (very well-stocked) shop on the Island and this was delivered with our baggage brought up from the ship by Lundy staff. We ate evening meals in the Marisco Tavern (separate review) which saved a lot of time... More

I had no idea just how absolutely remote, unspoilt and beautiful Lundy is. We stayed in Government House (5*) with 2 others, 10 more were in other properties. The boys climbed and the girls walked all over the island for four idyllic days. No phone signal, no wifi and the electricity goes off at midnight (take a torch... And don't... More

I got surprised with a day trip to Lundy for my birthday as I've always wanted to visit and it definitely didn't disappoint! The boat journey on the MS Oldenburg was enjoyable, it was a little bit chilly and it is 2 hours long from Bideford but we were lucky to not have a choppy journey, the views are amazing,... More

It's a good climb up the hill, but once there it's like being in another world. It's so quite, you could also see for miles even though there isn't anything to see. Wonderful place to reflect.

We went from ilfracombe to Lundy Island, 2 hour trip, we were very lucky with the weather it was a gorgeous day. Made our day to see dolphins on the way. Arriving on Lundy be prepared for a steep walk up to the top but it really is worth the effort. We walked a good 3 hours around the island,... More

Peace, Tranquility, Wildlife, Beauty, History, It`s all here. The Lundy staff are brilliant. The views are awesome. The Tavern is a great place to meet people and talk about your experiences. We saw Dolphins off the boats bow, Seals in the harbour, Peregrine Falcons on the cliffs, and so much more. WE LOVED IT
