We've taken so many walks along Weymouth Beach. Always a pleasure and a joy - especially out of season. The sand at the Pavilion end is perfect for sandcastles. The beach changes to pebbles as you go east - but the walking is equally good.

Wrap up warm in December and brisk walking. Lovely but lots of shops were closed for the season. Plenty of cafes.

We always park just up from train station, about 5 to 10 minutes walk and you are at the big clock. Right by the beach. X

We met a couple yesterday having a small BBQ on the beach, in fact we chatted to them and they ended up offering us a burger each! So yes I think as long as it's small and away from the crowded area it would seem it's ok... More
