What great fun we all had with Roger our skipper. He kept all 6 children and 6 adults engaged for the whole trip. Lots of wildlife was pointed out and talked about from their habitat to where they will travel to and from. We looked for Hares which sadly we missed on this occasion and looked at the oyster beds.... More

We've been meaning to do this little boat trip for the last few years every time we come down to Portland to visit my Mum and family, and finally got down to visiting the Chesil Beach centre to book our places. .....it's not bad value...we went as 3 adults and 2 children and it cost £29. The actual trip is... More

I really enjoyed my trip- the guide was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour. We were able to spot lots of different wildlife from the boat, and I liked being able to see into the water through the glass bottom. Would definitely recommend this!

Took my husband for a boat trip on the Fleet in the glass bottomed boat for his birthday Thoroughly enjoyed seeing the Fleet from the water. Occasionally our view of the bottom was marred by murky water but that's just nature for you. We still had a good time. The commentary was light hearted but enjoyable and it was very... More

A brilliant hour on the Fleet Observer - the skipper (Roger) had a brilliant sense of humour and everyone on the boat had a fantastic time. We saw plenty of wildlife including Little Terns, Hares (on the beach!), Cormorants, Little Egrets and Herons. It was really informative and great value for money. I thoroughly recommend it!

Booked by telephone this morning, got on the boat just after midday. Very knowledgeable friendly staff on the boat, made sure we saw plenty even though the water was a bit murky. They were unfailingly kind and responsive even when peppered with questions by our 5 and 8 year old grandchildren, and other children on the boat. Would recommend the... More

We spent a lovely afternoon out on the boat on a guided tour of the Fleet. The boat had a glass bottom so we could see through, and the guide was very knowledgeable. We saw a massive jellyfish and got a good few photos. I'm from Weymouth but had never done anything like this until I moved away and came... More

We hired the boat as part of our grandson's birthday party. It was very successful, and everyone enjoyed it. Especially when the kids were allowed to steer it. To be honest there wasn't much to see under the water, but the skipper was great with the kids and we all had a good time. Thoroughly recommend it.
