Called in whilst wandering around. Had a couple of nice pints of Cumbria Ale then had the munchies so had a beef Madras which was tasty and good value. Staff were really nice which is unusual in a tourist location. Highly recommended

This is one of the hidden gems of Bowness with a wonderfully antiquated and very countrified atmosphere. The food and service was excellent as usual.

Great British pub grub. Good selection of drinks and one of the best pubs in the Lake District. Really cosy inside due to the age of the building.

Lovely atmosphere, great staff. Food good and hot - get there early. In the Summer the outside patio is great for al fresco drinking especially when there is live music.

Yes it is during the day. Plenty of children's meals and drinks. It gets a bit louder in the evenings.
