Earnse bay is a beautiful beach. Great for walking the dogs. You have the choice of walking along the sand (tide permitting) or the grass verge. Further along is the sand dunes and the nature reserve. You have to keep dogs on leads at certain times of year in the reserve but there is clear signage to advise you. Always... More

Lovely views and walks. Often people walking dogs and taking a look at the nature reserve. Can be windy, beautiful in the summer.

Wide flat sandy beach cracking view of the hills. View is spoiled by the wind farm. On the plus side you can see the Isle of Man when conditions allow, especially spectacular as the sun goes down behind it.. Accessible via regular bus service, large car park

Lovely sandy beach, you have to traverse a line of pebbles to get to. Popular with kite surfers. The road has now been restored after last winters storms. Large nature reserve at the north end of the island.

Once you close your eyes to the horrors of Barrow, you can enjoy a wonderful, bracing walk away from it all.

A beach on the top end of Walney backed by the new line of boulders to prevent sea erosion. A large free car park and public toilets plus a parking area over looking the beach. Nice views of Black Combe and of the Isle of Man which the wind turbines block.
