The house is really stunning, beautifully kept, with very well informed staff. Everybody we came across to were very friendly and helpful. I really wish I could visit again in the summer, because the grounds looked wonderful, so a long summer walk, must be a great experience.

This is a wonderful place close to Barnstaple. The house is very interesting, it is found in a large garden. There is also a museum of carriages which is really worth seeing. In summer it must be wonderful.

Very interesting NT property with lots to see and do. The house has been decorated for Christmas and there is a 'treasure hunt' for the Twelve Days of Christmas, which is very well done. There is a dressing up box in one of the rooms too! There is a Bat-Cam to view the residents on video-link and the carriage museum... More

As NT members we have visited Arlington many times in the past, but came this month to do a new geocaching walk which the Trust has put out. Autumn is such a lovely season and we had a great time doing the Winford Valley walk even though it was quite wet underfoot. Although the house and gardens were closed the... More

We visited whilst staying at Hele Bay. It was also the Christmas Craft Fayre. The coach museum is very interesting and you should visit it as part of your day. Plenty of information to read and quite a lot to see in the stables. At the moment there is also on display a huge Gingerbread House...completely knitted! Quite spectacular if... More

Great visitor attraction. Victorian House, home of the Chichester Family, plus the Nation Trust Carriage Museum.

We came here primarily to visit the national coach and carriage museum but first went round the house. There is a good deal of history to be seen in the house with plenty of artifacts and artwork to see. One unexpected bonus was that, on the day we went here, there was a pianist playing the piano in the entrance... More

Bring your walking shoes and explore the estate. There is a great loop that leads you from the main house down through the woods where there is adventure equipment and a river to build damns. Then out of the woods it will lead you down through a field to a bridge which is great for poo sticks then past the... More
